Roger Spelding, a newscaster and his wife and children are at home, John, Ellen's fiance is also there. A spaceship lands in their garden. A stranger steps out of it. His name is Kreton. He has come from another planet. His people are much advanced. General powers takes him for a spy. He puts the house under Martial law. He fails to arrest. Kreton has got strange powers. He can read the minds of people. He tells them that he is not a spy and he is on a study tour of the earth. But they doubt him and try to get over him. Finally, he is at the end of his tether. Now he says that he really wants to take charge of the whole world.
