OUR SCHOOL CANTEEN
A school must possess certain sections. These sections are classrooms, hostels, playgrounds, laboratories, a library and a canteen. A canteen is one of the vital parts of a school.
It may consists of a big hall, a kitchen and a lawn. It is usually situated at one side of the building. It may be furnished with fine furniture, and exquisite equipments.
The is necessary at least at school level. The school going age is a growing age. The children usually play and run about wildly all the time. They soon feel hungry. It is canteen that can satisfy their hunger.
The canteen of our school is modern and first-class. It is situated near our hostel. It has two kitchens and a big hall. There is a grassy lawn in front of it. It is surrounded by many thick green trees. The furniture of the canteen is modern and fine. The canteen remains open during the school time. But no student is allowed to visit it except at break time. It also provides us with stationery items are low and constant. At break time, the students rush towards the canteen. They fall in a queue and wait for their turn to buy things. The canteen provides efficient services. The quality of food is excellent. The headmaster himself checks the quality of food daily. A committee of three senior teachers also supervises the affairs of the canteen.
We enjoy many benefits of canteen at school. Besides eatables, other small necessary items like pencils, erasers, sharpeners, and notebooks are available there. The teachers can also serve their guests there. In short. The canteen facilitates not only the students but also the staff of the school. (283)
