"MY BEST FRIEND"
Everyone that flatters thee
Is no friend in misery
Words are easy like the wind
Faithful friends are hard to find. ( Shakespeare)
Man is a social animal and remains happy in the company of fellow beings. No one can live alone and every man's life is dependent on so many of other persons. This necessity brings us in contact with many persons in the world. Some of these contacts become very close to us.We become intimate with some to such an extent that we can share happiness and sorrows with them. We may have acquaintances with number of people but closeness and intimacy can be developed with a very limited number of contacts.
These intimate contacts are called friends. Friends have an advantage over the relatives that we can share our private matters with them which we cannot share with our brothers and sisters.
Friends are not made in this universe, they can only be had. A true and sincere friends is really a rare gift of God. We come across mean and selfish people at every step in life but a devoted friend, who fulfills the criterion of the quotation ' friend in need is a friend indeed ' is a real blessing.

“I would rather walk with a friend in the dark, than alone in the light.”
― Helen Keller

Though the circle of my friendship is very limited yet amongst these few, Ali is my best friend. He is also my neighbour and class fellow too. He is every inch a gentle man. He comes of a respectable family. He is not a high brow. I do not like purse proud people. Ali is an embodiment of modesty. He has a noble nature. He is as sweet as a milksop. He ever so cheerful that lightens my mind in every visit.
Ali is not a hardworking type of person. He is a born prince. He is so careless and carefree that he does not bother his head about studies, classes, home work or examinations. To hell with book's is his motto.
Ali is a super intelligent. He reads newspapers, journals, and magazines and knows all the important facts of life. He has a lot of knowledge about all the fields of life. He can discuss any topic for hours. He is fully in touch with the national and international political situations and the current affairs of the world. Though he is unmarried yet he can deliver a lengthy lecture on the cause of failure of marriages and can advise to make the matrimonial life successful. He is, however, shy by nature and blushes at the sight of girls. His remarks are always intelligent and to the point. He is a source of inspiration to me.
“A friend is someone who knows all about you and still loves you.”
― Elbert Hubbard
Ali rings sunshine with him. Even when, I am moody and gloomy, his company dispels the darkness of my mind. He is so hale and healthy. He is a sportsman and has a craze for football. He is broad minded and does not worry about victory or defeat.

“Life is an awful, ugly place to not have a best friend.”
― Sarah Dessen,

Man has human weaknesses and nobody except the prophets of God, is perfect in this world. Ali is no exception. He has his shortcomings. In my view he has two main defects. He is spendthrift. " Spend and God will send" is his motto. Moreover, he is a dressy fellow and has a touch of pea-cockish vanity.
He is a true Muslim and abides by the teachings of Islam. He is a practical Muslim. I like and respect him for his piety and many other good qualities. I have a full confidence in him and I have pledged to live with him through thick and thin.
