RAM:
  • It is the abbreviation of "Random Access Memory".
  • It is volatile and requires Power source for retain information.
  • It is used for normal operations of computers.
  • Writing data to RAM is done very quickly.
ROM:
  • It is the abbreviation of  "Read Only Memory".
  • It is non-volatile and does not require any Power source for retaining information stored on it.
  • It is usually used at the stat-up processes of computer.
  • Writing data to ROM is a slow process.
