Q: What is the difference between a cell and a battery?
Ans: 

 CELL:
A cell is a single unit at the base voltage.In cell only chemical energy is converted into electrical energy.

 BATTERY:
A battery can be a single cell or multiple cells connected together in series or parallel to make the voltage/current rating desired. In battery all kinds of energy, (heat,solar,mechanical, chemical) is converted into electric potential energy.
