Ans: It was about eleven o'clock at night. It was very dark. The lady was walking alone . It was this time when the boy tried to snatch her purse.

Ans: It was about 11'O clock at night. A large woman with a large purse was walking alone. A boy ran up behind her and tried to snatch her purse. But the strap of the purse broke with his single tug. However, he lost his balance and fell on his back on the side walk and his legs flew up.

Ans: When the boy fell on his back on the side walk with his legs up, the large woman simply turned around and kicked him right square on his blue jeaned sitter. Then, she picked him by his shirt front and shook him violently. His teeth began to rattle.
Q: What was the conduct of the people when they saw the incident?
Ans:The woman kicked and gripped the boy who tried to snatch her purse. By that time two or three people passed that way. They stopped turned to look at the lady and the boy. A few stood watching them.
Q: How did the boy look physically?
Ans: Physically, the boy looked to be fourteen and fifteen years of age. His body was frail and willow wild. He was wearing tennis shoes and blue jeans.
Q: What was the condition of the boy when the woman gave him a few jerks?
Ans: He was totally helpless. He did not try to run away. He left himself on the mercy of the woman. He only requested her to free him.
Q: Why did the woman ask the boy to wash his face?
Ans: When the woman dragged the boy into her house, she let him loose and asked him affectionately to go to the sink and wash his face with hot water. She also gave him a clean towel to dry his face so that he might look presentable.
Q: Why didn't the boy run from the house of the woman?
Ans: The face of the boy was dirty. She got his face washed, asked whether he was hungry. She showed affection and love for the poor boy. Thus, she created thrust in his mind saying that she would not take him to jail. Therefore, the boy did not try to run away, though he could.
Q: Why didn't the woman watch the boy while preparing a dish?
Ans: She got his face washed and began to prepare a dish for him. She left him alone in the room and did not watch him because she was sure that she had created trust in the boy.
Q: What was the nature of the woman's job?
Ans:She worked in a hotel beauty shop where all kinds of women i.e. blondes, red heads and spanish came in and out. Her duty was to serve them.

Ans: A boy tried to snatch a lady's purse. She caught him and brought him to her house. There she treated him kindly. She advised him to be a good boy. Then she let him go.
Q: What was the effect of the behaviour of the woman on the boy?
Ans: Her kind behaviour impressed the boy. She gave him $10 to purchase blue suede shoes. She also asked him to behave well in future. The boy decided to act upon her advice. Even he wanted to thank her in the end.
Q: Why did she treat the boy nicely in her home after punishing him in the street?
Ans: She punished him for his crime. Then, she treated him kindly to make him a good boy. She served him with good food and advised him never to snatch anyone's purse in future. She even gave him ten dollars to buy a new pair of suede shoes.
